As I sit surrounded by the multi-million dollar homes that dot the California coast, I reflect back on a humble moment of reflection I had in Oban, Scotland a few months ago. There I found a peaceful place at McCaig's Folly for an impromptu meditation session.
Two months later I am starting to see how the thoughts and intentions I experienced during that meditation are unfolding. Of course, they are unfolding in a way that is not at all what I imagined, once again reminding me that the future doesn't exist yet, and it is best to not attempt to predict it.
In a world where "control" is so prevalent, I continue to wander and live with joy in my heart doing my best to allow things to unfold naturally without trying to control the outcome...I still have much to learn about truly letting go.
